Why play EA FC 26 on Locked instead of elsewhere

  • No bookmaker — your opponent is another real player, not the house.
  • Stakes from $2.50 up to $1,000, so you can practice low and scale when you are ready.
  • Escrow protects both sides; funds are only released when the result is confirmed.
  • Disputes reviewed by a human admin within 24 hours, with evidence-based rulings.
  • Built specifically for skill-based competition — no odds, no spreads, no luck.
  • Designed to comply with U.S. UIGEA as a skill-based contest, not a wager.

How much do you keep when you win an EA FC 26 money match?

The winner takes the pot minus a flat 10%, and nothing else comes off. Two players stake the same amount, the pot is double that stake, and the fee is charged on the pot rather than on your entry. At the $2.50 floor the winner banks $4.50 from a $5.00 pot — a $2.00 profit once your own stake comes back. There is no rake on a loss, no subscription, and no deposit or withdrawal fee from Locked.

Your stakePotWinner receivesLocked's feeYour net profit
$2.50$5.00$4.50$0.50+$2.00
$5.00$10.00$9.00$1.00+$4.00
$10.00$20.00$18.00$2.00+$8.00
$25.00$50.00$45.00$5.00+$20.00
$50.00$100.00$90.00$10.00+$40.00

On a draw both stakes are refunded in full and no fee is taken. Third-party processors (PayPal, card networks) may apply their own charges — that is their fee, not ours, and it is the only money that moves on a Locked match without appearing in the table above.

What does the new-player offer add to an EA FC 26 bankroll?

New players get 100% of their first deposit back as bonus, up to $25. Deposit the $25 that earns the full match and you sit down with $50 — 20 entries at the $2.50 floor. The conditions are short, and they are here rather than in a footnote: minimum deposit $5, 3× playthrough on the bonus, and it expires after 7 days.

  • The playthrough, in numbers: a $25 bonus has to be staked $75 before it converts to withdrawable balance. At the floor stake that is 30 entries.
  • A deposit is required to withdraw winnings. The bonus is not a way to cash out without ever funding an account, and we would rather say so on the page than at the withdrawal screen.
  • The smallest version still works: deposit $5 and you play with $10.
  • New players only, once per account. Full terms live on the offer page, and the EA FC 26 money match walkthrough walks the same sign-up, deposit-match and first-match sequence in three steps.

What actually goes wrong in an EA FC 26 money match?

Five things, and they are worth reading before you stake rather than after. Escrow means a disputed match freezes both stakes instead of paying the wrong player, so the honest answer to most of these is “you wait, then an admin rules” — not “you lose your money”. The one case Locked handles worst is an EA server problem, because Locked never touches the gameplay.

What happensHow it is resolvedWhat it costs you
Your opponent disconnects mid-matchHow it is resolvedFinish the time that was left in a new game, carrying the score across — the Terms treat a drop as something to resume, not to rule on.What it costs youTime, not the stake. The score follows you into the resumed game.
Your opponent abandons and will not replayHow it is resolvedYou submit the result with a screenshot of the score or the disconnect. An admin rules on the evidence within 24 hours. What it costs youNothing, if the evidence holds. Both stakes sit in escrow until it is settled.
You are on PS5, your opponent is on XboxHow it is resolvedEA's crossplay settings decide this, not Locked. Both players need crossplay enabled, or both need to be on the same platform. What it costs youCheck before you accept. After acceptance the stake is already locked.
You both claim the winHow it is resolvedEscrow holds. Both players upload evidence and an admin applies a ruling within 24 hours. What it costs youA wait, not a loss. Money does not move on a disputed result.
EA's servers lag or drop the matchHow it is resolvedLocked does not host the gameplay, so a bad EA server is not a Locked dispute. The usual fix is agreeing a replay with your opponent. What it costs youThis is the case the dispute process handles worst. It is worth knowing before you stake, not after.

Who should not play EA FC 26 for money?

Anyone under 18, anyone playing to win back a loss, and anyone somewhere skill-money contests are restricted. Whether that includes your state is not a question this page can answer: gambling is defined state by state, and the answer can turn on how a specific contest is structured. Locked is designed to operate as a skill-based contest rather than a chance-based wager, which is the distinction UIGEA draws — but that is our design intent, not a ruling about where you live.

  • How the legality question actually works in the US — skill versus chance, the tests states actually apply, and what UIGEA does. Hedged where the law is unsettled, because it is.
  • Responsible play — limits, self-exclusion and what to do if this stops being a game.

This section is general information, not legal advice. It cannot account for your state or your circumstances, and laws change. For a decision that affects your money, consult an attorney licensed where you live.

Frequently asked questions

Crossplay rules follow EA's settings. If both players have crossplay enabled and are on platforms EA supports for crossplay (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC), you can match across platforms. Otherwise both players must be on the same platform.

$2.50 per player. The total pot is $5, the winner receives $4.50 after the 10% platform fee.

No. The 10% comes off the pot of a settled match, which means it comes out of the winner's payout. Losing costs you your stake and nothing more — there is no rake on a loss, no monthly fee and no charge from Locked to deposit or withdraw. On a draw both stakes are refunded in full and no fee is taken at all.

It depends on whether they dropped or walked. A disconnection is meant to be resumed: both players start a new game and play out the time that was left, keeping the score from the game that dropped. If they abandon the match instead, you submit the result with evidence — a capture of the score at the moment they left, or the disconnect message. Both stakes stay locked in escrow while a human admin rules on the evidence, with a 24-hour review target.

A challenge nobody has accepted can be cancelled, and nothing was ever locked — an open challenge does not hold your money. Once another player accepts, both stakes are in escrow, and cancelling from there goes through your opponent: the request is sent to them and both stakes stay held until it resolves one way or the other.

No. Matches are played on EA's normal online infrastructure — Locked does not host the gameplay. Locked handles matchmaking, escrow, results and disputes.

Locked is designed to operate as a skill-based contest under UIGEA, which carves out games of skill from the federal definition of unlawful gambling. State laws vary; users are responsible for confirming legality in their jurisdiction.

Champions Weekend League is EA's own competitive ladder with cosmetic and FUT rewards. Locked lets you stake real money in any 1v1 mode, with payouts in cash to your wallet.
